On Saturday, January 17, Sophia and I will be trekking to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View to see the Difference Engine #2 again, but we want to invite all our friends!

The Computer History Museum in Mountain View California has one of only two known working full scale models of Charles Babbage's Difference Engine built from his original drawings from 1849. This engine took 7 years to build and was completed in March of 2008

Not sure how many of us keep close tabs on what goes on in the "real" F-16 world, but these two stories caught my attention:

149th FS , of the Virginia Air National Guard (Bonnani's old unit) cashing in their Vipers for "Cyborgs" to create a combine Active dute/ANG unit at Langley AFB:

Looks like the F-14 is going the way of the do-do bird.

The gist is that the Pentagon doesn't want any spare parts to fall into Iranian hands, so ALL will be scrapped! With the exception of a few for static display, and those will only be shells of what they used to be.
